Hey there, Cinemaniacs! Ealan here with another Hidden Movie Club Newsletter!
Wow! Derek and I could’ve talked about T2: Judgement Day for hours upon hours earlier this week! But alas, we had to move on. 😅 Maybe we’ll revisit it as a Part II someday.
But to go along with T2, this upcoming Tuesday we will be discussing another Arnie + James Cameron team up: True Lies! Also starring the wonderfully talented Jamie Lee Curtis. Have you seen her in Everything Everywhere All At Once? Highly recommend if that one slipped under your radar, since Jamie steals every scene she’s in!
True Lies just happens to be another movie that I have personally not seen all the way through! Bits and pieces over the years, sure, but I’ll finally be able to sit down and consume it from start to finish!
Is there anything I should know about going into True Lies? Care to drop any spoiler-free, out-of-context clues about the movie that will only make sense after I’ve watched it? 😄
With True Lies being released in theaters only 3 years after T2, I can only imagine that James Cameron will dazzle me once again with insane practical effects, attention to detail, and off-the-charts action set pieces with big guns and even bigger explosions…right?!

You’re gonna want to join us for True Lies next week not only for another Arnie flick, but we will have a new panelist joining us! Brad has just secured a new position of employment that will most likely interfere with some future live streams, so we are excited to add another panelist to the madness. But there will be episodes in which all four of us will discuss a movie at length.
So let’s raise a glass to Brad! 🥂 We are going to miss his technical expertise and know-how, but can’t help but be equally proud of him for getting this new job to better help things at home. And we will welcome him with open arms when he can sneak in another live stream with us from time to time!
